Read Nation: Updates For the Year

Read Nation is having a great year so far.

For our teaching programs:

• Our Spring semester ended on May 13, 2023.

• 80+ TAs taught more than 140 students and accumulated 2,200+ hours.

• Join us as a student or TA during our 2023 summer program where we will host classes four times a week.

We also added multiple outreach groups this year - Debate, Robotics, and our latest Maasai project.

For debate outreach, our TAs prepare young debaters from middle school and elementary school for competitions. We also provide judges for the American Debate League and Brooklyn Debate League.

Our robotics outreach teams volunteered for FRC, FTC, FLL, VEX IQ and VEX competitions this season. They also hosted sessions with Girl Scout troops, teaching 5-7 year-old girls about technology and robotics.
